About “WF?” & Contributors

Who Forted? was created out the necessity for an online magazine that didn’t “pander to the locals” so to speak. There’s plenty of publications, both print and online, currently available that pertain to the subject of the weird, the strange, and the unexplained, but many of them are operated and maintained by people who choose to present the matter with the kind of cheesy aesthetic usually reserved for suburban Halloween displays. It’s just tacky and it’s not doing fortean enthusiasts any favors.
At WF? our aim is to present a frequently updated publication about everything strange brought to you by a myriad of diverse and interesting contributers, all the while maintaining an atmosphere that is inviting, honest, and most importantly, has a sense of humor. In other words, a paranormally themed ‘zine for smart, discerning people. A ‘zine for skeptics and a ‘zine for believers. People who might dabble in the so-called “paranormal community”, but are too put off by what they see there to really want to involve themselves. If you fall into any of those categories, then this magazine is for you, and more importantly, this magazine is by you.
The contributors to WF? are about as diverse a crowd as you’re likely to find in a publication like this. Writers, artists, paranormal investigators, skeptics, film makers, teachers, radio show hosts, and more every day people striving to bring you original articles, reviews, news updates, and interviews that you won’t find anywhere else; quality pieces that aim to amuse, educate, and involve the you, dear reader.
If we only manage to be different, than we’re already doing something right.
Greg Newkirk
Greg is the contributing editor for Who Forted?, as well as the co-founder of the infamous paranormal adventuring team Ghost Hunters, Inc. When he’s not occupied by writing about or documenting the unexplained, he’s busy making films with guerrilla film company Fight or Flight Productions (Last Skate for Couples, GHI Vs. Bigfoot), or reading the latest issue of The Walking Dead.
He currently spends his time freezing to death in Chicago, IL.
Nick Foust
Nick Foust is a figment of our collective imagination. Forged in the dreaming subconscious of sleeping children throughout the world, Nick exists for the sole purpose of spreading fear and confusion among evolutionary scientists. Or at least, that’s what we like telling ourselves.
Nick is actually a founding member of Ghost Hunters, Incorporated. He enjoys extra-crispy chicken wings, epic battle scenes, and ‘the squatch.’
John Dockum
John Dockum is a regular contributor to Who Forted? by night, and middle school educator by day, which officially makes him the coolest teacher ever.
When he’s not busy reenacting the French and Indian War, he’s investigating the deaths of legendary monsters. He currently resides in Vermont with his wife and three kids because Connecticut sucked balls.
Tony Hart-Wilden
Tony hails from Winchester, Hampshire in the UK and is the man behind Chasing Midnight, a website dedicated to the pursuit of everything strange. He’s got 20 years of paranormal adventuring under his belt gained at some of the world’s most famously paranormal hotspots throughout the U.S., U.K., and Europe.
He currently resides in Los Angeles where he is preparing for a werewolf apocalypse.
Scott L.
A huge proponent of the D.I.Y. podcasting scene, Scott L. is a familiar voice and presence in the field of the paranormal. For over eight years, Scott has dedicated the majority of his time outside of his professional life to The Ghostly Talk Paranormal Talk Show and the promotion of the grassroots study of the paranormal.
Scott enjoys real metal, and not that Metallica shit. He currently resides in Michigan where he is constantly fighting the urge to drive to Chicago for a burger from Kuma’s Korner.
Jason Korbus
Jason Korbus is the co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio, easily one of the best paranormal internet radio broadcasts available today. When he isn’t busy making love to a microphone, he’s pursuing the unexplained with Phase 3 Paranormal and using twitter to tell everyone that Dane Cook is a hack.
He currently resides in Toledo, OH.
Dana Matthews
Dana is a regular contributor to Who Forted?, starred in the internationally syndicated paranormal television series The Girly Ghosthunters, and carries the honor/curse of being the only female member of the paranormal adventuring team Ghost Hunters, Inc.
When she isn’t residing in her Canadian homeland, she can usually be found drinking all the coffee in the WF? HQ in Chicago, IL.
