In the summer of 2006, two Sasquatch hunters led a group of curious, young paranormal investigators into the hills of southern New York on a quest for evidence of the legendary beast known as Bigfoot.

Shot completely on consumer level equipment with a budget under $50, this documentary follows Tim Holmes of the Southern Tier Bigfoot Watch and Becky Sawyer of Searching for Bigfoot East as they trek deep into Connecticut Hill, a location rife with reports of mysterious monster sightings and unexplained events.

Although initially skeptical of Tim’s wild stories and unnerved by Becky’s militant commands, things get weird after bizarre encounter in the pines, and the group is forced to reassess their beliefs regarding the existence of Bigfoot.

Sometimes funny, sometimes scary, but always entertaining, The Bigfoot Hunter: Still Searching is a story that asks, what means more in the end: the destination or the journey; the evidence or the story?

The Bigfoot Hunter: Still Searching is a “Who Forted? Magazine” film, produced by Toronto’s Fight or Flight! Productions, directed by Greg Newkirk, featuring Tim Holmes, Becky Sawyer, Nick Foust, Jason Gowin, Milton Clark, Glenn Richards, and Greg Newkirk.

The film is scheduled for a Fall 2011 release, launched with a premier taking place just a short trip from the shooting location of the film. Bigfoot hunter Tim Holmes will be on hand at many of the screenings for Q&A sessions with the audience following the film.

If you’re interested in the film, please do us one favor: talk about it. We’re not kidding when we say that the film is a completely independent project that literally cost less than most people’s monthly phone bill. We like the fact that the little guys like us can create a fun project like Still Searching that has the opportunity to overcome the limitations set on us by money and lack of pro equipment, and we want to keep that kind of spirit alive as we move forward with the project. We’re not sure where the film is going to end up in the long run, but we do know that the destination has everything to do with where you want it to be.

So please, tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell your pets. Send the trailer to your uncle Ned who runs that little theater in the middle of nowhere. Tell your cousin who runs that podcast about weird stuff. Like the movie on Facebook. Buy a dirt cheap Still Searching t-shirt. Write a blog about it. Tweet it. Anything!

Above all, we just want people to see the film. But, you know, some nicer equipment for future projects like this would be nice too, and that’s the ultimate goal: to keep making better projects every time.

If you have a blog, podcast, or other web presence and would like to help out an ultra-low budget feature, we are more than happy to provide you with early access to a screener copy of the film, exclusive photos, video clips, and talk your ear off about the project.

For any inquiries regarding the film, it’s release, it’s subjects, or just about anything else, please contact Greg Newkirk (editor@whofortedmag.com) or Jason Gowin (gow2099@hotmail.com) and we’d be happy to answer your questions and shoot you some more information.
