Famous People Who Hate Us:
Sure, we’re a little rough around the edges. We swear too often, drink publicly, and take our clothes off in random internet chatrooms. Hey, we’re only human. But the one thing that gets us in the most trouble, if trouble is to be judged by a growing stack of cease and desist orders, is our penchant for being a little too honest.
Now, we’re not going to say that we helped coin the term “collargate” (go ahead, google it), but shortly after the whole Ghost Hunters Live fiasco, we may have posted a few humorous notes about how poor Jason Hawes slight of hand was. We found ourselves blocked from following his twitter account. It was boring anyway.
Situations like this have become a fairly common occurrence around here. Some creepy old dude is warping the minds of little kids under the guise of psychic prowess? The gang lets out a collective “gross!” in the form of a hilarious photoshop, and later that evening: “you have been blocked from following this account at the request of the user.”
Sure, maybe we’ve caused a few one-time tv personalities to lock their accounts. Maybe we’ve looked up their personal addresses on the internet. And ok, fine, maybe we’ve driven by their houses at 3AM and giggled as we pooped on their lawn. So what? That doesn’t really make us bad people. Besides, you can’t prove anything.
So in the interest of full disclosure, we’ve begun compiling a list (one that remains open ended, we assure you), of “famous” people who hate our guts so much, they went out of their way to actually block us from following them on twitter. Perhaps a better title might be “Famous and Frightened”.
